Walking & Scrambling
Raasay
Raasay is a unique and magical inner Hebridean island, perfect for family trips or part of a more relaxed holiday. The highest point on the isle is Dun Cann which offers spectacular 360 degree views. There is a wide variety of walks and activities to explore and discover on Raasay. The Dolphin Café in Raasay House is a perfect place to relax with lunch or even dry off if you have chosen to abseil down the 70ft waterfall. Local sea cliffs make a good venue for an introduction to rock climbing. Raasay has ideal terrain to brush up on navigation skills and we offer training days on this skill here.
For those who would like more than just a taste of this magical place accommodation can be arranged in a remote bothy, a 250 year old mansion, the local youth hostel, camping or at the local hotel.
Did you know……the main village on Raasay is Inverarish and was purpose built as a POW camp to house Italian prisoners during the First World War.
